As for the book readings/signings, I’m trying to figure out what my extra thing will be. In past events I’ve read unprinted letters from Little Pam, shared some hate mail, performed a monologue from the Anne Heche Monologues, or gave away presents, or almost fell. This time I’m a little stumped. If you were coming to see me (and I hope you are), what extra special thing would make you feel it was worth the trip?

Can’t wait to have you in the Bay! Can’t think of anything extra you can give, except the longer you hang out, the better! :)

  2. J.C.

Will do my best to make it to Corte Madera but GAWD that’s far from the City when you are an urbanite without a car! Cannot wait to read the book—so, so, so impressed and proud of you! *hugs*

Jami- I know! That just means you’ll have to find a way to come down to LA. I mean, I can’t ALWAYS be the one meeting you for drinks, right? xxxoo

  3. CrystalReads

I wish I wasn’t stuck in Texas, or I would definitely be stop by one of your book tour spots :(
I can’t think of any thing extra special you could do, just meeting an author is enough.:D

    1. Pamie

Can you get to Austin? Because we just confirmed my BookPeople date — August 30th at 7:30!

  4. Popo

Pamie! I entered a contest on Goodreads for your new book, and I won!! I have never won anything in my whole life. I’m not unlucky, just not . . .lucky. Anyway, will you do the east coast on your book tour? I know it is far away, but on the off chance that you are in the DMV area, I’ll definitely come and get my (free — hard-won :P) book signed (and buy a copy for a friend!).

    1. Pamie

First of all — YOU WON! Hooray! I was just wondering how I’d ever know who won those books.

I don’t know if I’m getting out to the east coast (I’m guessing for you Atlanta doesn’t count), but if you email me your address, I’ll send you a little something you can use as a signed bookmark for your book. Deal? Because you’re a winner!

  5. Stephanie

I’m so happy that I can come to your Austin book signing this time! I live in Dallas, but I am coming, DAMMIT, because I have been reading your blog forever and the idea of seeing you in person just… Well, I’m really excited to put it mildly.

As for your “extra special thing”… I have no idea. Hits from Your Mom Live? A one-woman performance of Annie? I really wish I had a third bad suggestion because threes are always best?

  6. Sarah

I second the request to come East (though I am not a Goodreads winner) and also the suggestion of Hits from My Mom live. That sounds hilarious.

  7. Michael

Great timing on the Austin book signing – I will be be in Austin on a business trip that week, so looking forward to attending.

    1. pamie

Why do I feel like you will still be mysterious and I’ll only find out you were there two weeks later in an email?

  8. Brett

I can hook you up for a tour stop in the Katy/Brookshire/Pattison submetroplex area.

    1. Pamie

Gosh, I can’t even imagine what it’d be like to be back inside Katy Budget Books after all these years. The last time was… a subdued affair. https://pamie.com/2003/08/finally-a-wrap-up/

  9. Brett

We have a mall. With a book store. and Cinnabon.

    We’re bad. We’re nationwide.

  10. Emily

Come to Parnassus Books in Nashville!

  11. Tara

I can’t believe you aren’t coming to Ohio. OHIO! Where there’s so much that never, EVER happens. Ever. Unless you count the burning river in Cleveland that turns out was just a myth but is the only thing people remember about us. If I set a river on fire, will you come to Ohio? And by river, I mean the little trickle that flows into the koi pond in my backyard. I don’t look good in orange jump suits.

    So Ohio, yes?

  12. Evany

Corte Madera date CANCELLED? Why CANCELLED???

  13. Evany

    (ME SO SAD!)

    1. pamie

I KNOW. It is sad, but I couldn’t make it up there for that weekend. I think Evany should come visit and that will make everything feel better.
