I broke a glass.
STEE
You did? Are you okay?
PAMIE
Yeah.
STEE
Where?
PAMIE
Over the dishwasher.
STEE
Do you need me to help clean it?
PAMIE
No, it all fell into the dishwasher, but in big chunks, so I got it all, I think. But none of it fell on the floor. But I broke a glass. I’m sorry.
STEE
That’s okay. Which glass did you break?
PAMIE
One like this one. I was putting it in the dishwasher, and I was holding it like this, and then I went like that and it fell out of my hand. It hit the rack above and then kind of just shattered.
STEE
Well, I’m glad you didn’t get hurt.
PAMIE
Yeah.
STEE
It’s okay. Glasses break.
PAMIE
I just feel like a klutz, is all.
STEE
Would you like me to get you some more water?
PAMIE
Yes, please.
STEE
Here. Hand me your glass.
CRASH!
awkward silence
PAMIE
I broke another glass.
STEE
I can see that.
PAMIE
The glass I used as a recreation of the original glass-breaking is now broken.
STEE
It’s impressive.
PAMIE
Two glasses in ten minutes.
STEE
Maybe you should stay still for a little while.
PAMIE
Well, that’s two fewer glasses we’ll have to pack.
STEE
Thanks for doing that.
PAMIE
No problem.[/scripty]
I’m not going to read it, but so many of you have asked for it, so I’ll post it. It’s the Lillith story, and I haven’t read it since I wrote it. I don’t know why so many of you people want to cry again, but here it is: And I Love Her.
