Song: “Hey U”

It’s happened every time I buy the latest Basement Jaxx album…

I run into someone I know at Amoeba as I’m holding the CD, and that person will ask to see what I’m getting. I hand over Basement Jaxx and he or she just shakes his or her head and looks at me like, “You are the only person who likes this band.”

But I can’t be the only one. I don’t understand why everybody doesn’t love Basement Jaxx. Fun, funny and infectious, their songs make me dance my ass off, even when I’m sitting down.

You know I love them if I’ll link to their MySpace page. But if you click “Hey U” up there, you can hear the track. You can also hear “Oh My Gosh,” an important staple of the Marathon Mix, and fantastic. In fact, if you’re only going to listen to one song over there, it should probably be “Oh My Gosh.”

I picked this over JT’s new album, much to Jessica’s dismay. “You have to go back and buy Justin’s album. How could you do that to him?”

Between this album and Beyonce’s new one (How much do I love “Suga Mama“?), my car has turned into one hell of a nightclub.
