I don’t often see you posting overtly political links on your blog, but this link leads to the website poynter.org, which is devoted to the discussion of journalism by journalists. The first two entries are a long email that Wall Street Journal reporter Farnaz Fassihi (currently in Baghdad) wrote to friends back in the States. It gives a bone-chilling picture of the current situation in Iraq that many in the U.S. fear to be true but are not yet willing to fully accept. I thought it might be worth sending on to you, as I know how many readers you have, and how many people out there still think Iraq is a success. I can’t help feeling that this might help change a few minds.
