The best thing about the brilliant Some Kind of Monster is its example that no matter where you are in your career, even if you’re living in a mansion and everybody knows your name, as long as you’re doing it for the art the challenge is still there.  The fear never goes away and the demons of self-doubt are just as paralyzing.  Success comes with responsibility.  I suppose it could be depressing if you looked at it the other way, that it never gets easier and if you really want to do this for the rest of your life there will never be a day you feel like you’re done.  But for me it was two and a half hours of reassurance, a reminder that no matter how lonely and isolated my struggles with my work may feel, this is what everybody goes through and continues to go through at every level.
