I just read on your blog where you urged your readers to call their representatives about the FMA, and I wanted to let you know that many states have anti-marriage amendments on the ballots this year. There is a man in California, who keeps a blog that tries to get the news out about what is happening in each state. He could certainly use both attention and help from around the country.

I’d really like to see him get some pamie airplay–you know, cause you have the coolest readers ever.

Which states have anti-marriage amendments on their ballots this November? Oregon, Utah, Michigan, Ohio, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Kentucky, North Dakota and Montana.

And for those of you who made phone calls yesterday, celebrate a little. The House defeated the gay marriage ban amendment.
