“you call this a birthday week?”
Remember last year when Birthday Week was all festive and wonderful? Yeah, I’m sorry. This week it’s just not fitting into the massive amounts of work and stuff in my life. This means that the Birthday Week contest is going to be extended for an extra day, as I don’t think I’ll have time to round up the entries for voting until tomorrow. So, there you go. You get an extra day, if you still want to enter.

stee wrote about our Kevin Spacey and Buffy sightings. He also scribbled some props for me on the collaborative entry that we did that won him a diarist award:
hiding under the futon didn’t help
Sometimes you look up and it’s already time to go home. It’s not even a good excuse for not having an entry today, but that’s the only one I got right now.
Birthday Week is still going on, since someone told me it’s not over until the last present’s opened. In addition to an amazon.com gift certificate, someone sent me a mix tape in the mail. Unfortunately, it wasn’t from John Cusack.
almost out of birthday week
Well, Birthday Week is quickly coming to a close, but I did have a rather fun time at my party this weekend. Since the digital camera is the new toy of the house, people were taking pictures left and right (that is, until the batteries died). They didn’t sign wavers or anything, but I’m pretty sure I told all of them that their pictures would be up. I think I did, anyway. Pretty sure. Yeah. I don’t know. There was lots of wine involved.
step inside my world. it’s messy.
Okay, first of all, I did have an entry for yesterday. But I was too cocky and I ended up losing it when my browser crashed. I don’t want to talk about it. Just know it was a brilliant entry about music and CDs and my CD changer that plays the perfect background music for whatever thoughts are going through my head.
Maybe one day I’ll write it again.
I just wanted to thank everyone for the amount of birthday attention I’ve been getting. Tonight there’s a party at my house, so I’ve got to go home and clean. Like, seriously, since quite often a friend will end up passing out in a bedroom and if it’s unprepared they’ll wake up with cat fur in their ears.
and welcome the Cute Single Boy of the Week
So, I made it. I’m twenty-five. Mom called to rub it in. Thanks, Ma.
I’m celebrating with an all-day meeting at work. whoo-hoo. Tonight, Eric is taking me out to dinner, as it is also our three-year anniversary.
Three years. Lots of laughs. Lots of memories. Lots of stories and secrets shared. Lots of love. It seems like it just started, and it seems like I’ve known him forever. My best friend. (Baby, I know you can do anything. Be brilliant. I love you.)
at least i’ve got birthday week to keep me happy
Today is my last day of being twenty-four.
I’m finding this very difficult to write. My life is changing quickly and rapidly and I don’t know what’s going to happen to me.
the special late-night Sunday entry
The weather has completely changed over the past two days and it’s making me feel strange. That and I had stopped dry cleaning my sweaters because I thought I didn’t need them anymore and Cal totally puked in my favorite blue one that I’ll probably never wear again.
That’s where I stopped yesterday. I started writing because I hadn’t in a while, and I talked to a friend who told me that my entries have been slacking lately.
I guess they have been.
I was going to write about what could possibly have made me stay up all night Saturday playing a Video Fishing Game.
I was going to write about the really cool new postcards at Mighty Big TV
I was going to offer a list of things to do while Stee was away.
But I don’t want to anymore. Seeing that Rob and Julie are probably having their baby today makes me even more bittersweet.
It’s my sister’s 21st birthday today.
And I feel like she’s leaving my life faster and faster. I miss her. I don’t even really know how to get in touch with her today to wish her the best. I hope to see her this weekend.
This entry, that is. I have a good excuse.
Well, that’s it.
Today I fixed my car air conditioning. And my brakes. And I tried to fix the side view mirror. What I’m basically saying is that this update is so damn late because I’ve just spent the past six hours in various car-fixing places. Six hours. So, I’m sweaty and gross but my car is running oh-so-much better. That’s my Birthday Week gift to my car. There may be a surprise weekend Birthday Week bonus entry concerning my day of grease and sweat, so stay tuned.
