grateful and grumpy (aka: old-lady pamie)

For those of you who are crazy cat ladies/actual veterinarians/long-time fans: Thank you for writing in about Cal and his new meds. That’s very kind of you, and your advice is much appreciated. Yay for Pill Pockets. Now if only Greenies made a “Liquid-y Vomit Catcher ™” for thirty minutes after Cal’s had his medicine.

I don’t need to be yet another person to tell you how hot it was in Los Angeles this weekend, but I will be. It was hot. Very hot. Continue reading

stalling…

I have learned that I cannot be online when I’m working on the book.

Here’s proof. In the past hour I discovered that an anime series I wrote the dub scripts for years ago was released this year. I tracked down my old boss and called her. She promises they used a completely new script for the dub, but now I have to pay money to find out if that’s true, dragging out an old computer to compare scripts. Also: why do I want to do that? I’m not going to get a free DVD out of it, and they aren’t going to go back and put my name on it and who cares about anime but this is some half-assed excuse to take a break so i’m going to ignore it and move on. Check Me Out.

who needs men around the house, anyway?

Why, yes, that was me carrying a bag of trash to the dumpster this morning, all by myself. Yes, I did dribble trash juice on my shoes. No, I didn’t mean to do that. No, we aren’t going to talk about it.

I don’t want to ruin last night.

Video Made the Squishy Star

explaining anime and my play patterns

I wish I could tell you that my life is full of fun and games and whirlwind evenings of drunken hi-jinks, but in truth I’ve been at home scripting the American Dub for Lost Universe. Check out that link for the flash version of the trailer. That’s pretty cool. ADV is starting to put some cash behind the webpage. Now you can order City Hunter subs online and they’ll just send you all of the episodes as they finish. They haven’t offered this for the dubs yet (since we haven’t shot them) but we’ll start dubbing them in the fall. That means even more City Hunter for me. I’m stoked. I’m finishing the current movie today, which I think will be released this summer.

scrub searching

why my toes are lolita red

Friday afternoon my copy of City Hunter: The Motion Picture arrived.  After the shows we went back to my house for the World Premiere.  It was so strange hearing my voice.  Sometimes it sounded like me, and other times I was like, “What the hell was I doing there?”  I was really nervous, because if it sucked, I had suckered a bunch of my friends into sitting around watching it.  Fortunately everyone  had a good sense of humor and we all made jokes while it was going on.  They all agreed that my character kicks ass, and I think I got a couple of them to finally go audition for ADV Films.

old friends

the best kind of surprise phone call

In case there were any worries, I’m not planning to end my site any time soon.  I see this has been a trend in the online journal community lately, and there seems to be something in the air once we get to the end of each month (“ih.  I don’t want to make another directory.  Fuck it.”), so I’m just saying here:  no plans to quit.

I got a call from an old friend yesterday.
