Song: “The Fact Is (I Need You)”

Is it possible to fall in love with a woman you’ve never met? If you only get to spend about ten minutes with her total, and in that time you’ve watched her giggle over a pimple and then command thousands with her powerful voice?

All I know is that Dave Chappelle’s Block Party ended and I walked immediately to Amoeba to buy Who Is Jill Scott?, which they were sold out of (because I’m clearly not the only person with this impulse). I don’t even know if that’s a sentence, what I just wrote. I don’t even know if I’m making sense. The movie ended and I said to stee, “Can we go to Amoeba?” and he said, “You’re gonna go buy a Jill Scott album, aren’t you?”

How has this not been in my life sooner?
